Important Notice
Amazon sometimes requires a One-Time Password (OTP) to ensure that high-value or sensitive packages are delivered securely. An OTP is a temporary six-digit code sent to your registered email on the day of delivery. You must provide this code to the Amazon driver to receive your package.
Why an OTP Is Needed
Amazon uses OTPs to confirm that the correct person is receiving the package. This added step helps prevent unauthorized deliveries and protects your order.
How to Find Your OTP
You can locate your OTP in two places:
- Email: Amazon sends the 6-digit OTP to your registered email on delivery day.
- Amazon App / Website: Go to Your Orders → Track Package, and the OTP will appear at the top of the tracking page.
How to Use the OTP During Delivery
When the Amazon driver arrives:
- Provide the six-digit OTP in person.
- If you are not home, you may share the OTP with a trusted person who can accept the package on your behalf.
- Drivers cannot accept the OTP via notes — you must tell them directly.
- If no one is available, Amazon will reattempt delivery on the next working day.
